Thomas Woodman along with his consultants, has been creating unique and special homes for the past twenty years from his office in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.
His creative spirit is evident as seen throughout this website, and is fueled by his interest in sketching and painting the natural and built environments.
His ability to envision and conceptualize his thoughts, along with his knowledge of how things are built, makes him one of the most qualified architects in residential architecture today.

Cozy Cottage | Photo Gallery
Bratenahl, OH — The owners wanted a cottage that would overlook a small harbor below which adjoined their lot. They fell in love with the initial sketches I produced, and the home’s finished exterior looks exactly like the sketches.

Chardon, OH — My first attempt designing a timber frame home resulted in this beauty. I should have stopped and retired after this house was completed, but I didn’t, and the consequences of that are the rest of the projects presented throughout this website.

Russell Township, OH — This is the most highly detailed house I have worked on in my 25 years as a practicing architect. Acting as the lead architect, it was a collaborative effort with Ferguson & Shamamian Architects, LLP in New York City. My support role was to produce the documents required to build this beautiful home, and over 200 drawings later, the results are clearly visible.

Frank Lloyd Wright Penfield House | Photo Gallery
Two years ago I made a visit to the Louis Penfield House, a little known Usonian house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which is located in my hometown of Willoughby Hills, OH. After the visit I decided to recreate the home’s design in 3D using my computer. It’s not a style of home that I would typically design, but I wanted to capture its spirit before time would deteriorate my memory of it.

An ongoing interest of mine are extinct, early 20th-century ballparks. I have recently completed and published the sixth in a series of 15 ballparks that are for sale as limited edition giclée prints on my legendary ballparks website. I intend to publish one every two-to-three months until I complete all 15.

View Art Better | Photo Gallery
As the architect for this online website, I created these architectural settings not to show artists’ artwork, but a place to display their artwork! It gives viewers a feeling that they have reached a destination in which they can view artwork like no other place they have seen on the Internet.

USS Cod Submarine | Photo Gallery
I created these images of the USS Cod, a WWII submarine docked in Cleveland, OH, as an exercise in learning some of the advanced features of the software I use to model and document the homes I design. It gave me additional confidence in being able to design more and more complex shapes if the need ever arises.
